On the occasion of World Forestry Day (March 21), Sundaram Finance, along with the NGO, Bhumi, will organise an event at the Nageswara Rao Park on Monday morning, 9.30am onwards.
20 students from the Corporation Higher Secondary School in Mylapore will plant saplings at the Nageswara Rao Park and will distribute seeds to guests and the public.
Volunteers from the NGO will talk to the children on local ecosystems and its importance for sustainability.
At the end of the event, Sundaram Finance will present certificates and a goodies bag to the children.
