On the occasion of the World Forestry Day, Sundaram Finance, in association with the NGO, Bhumi, organised a plant sapling event on Monday at the Nageswara Rao Park in Luz.
20 students from the Chennai School in Luz Avenue planted the saplings at various locations within the park on Monday morning. Based on the theme ‘Seeds Today, Trees Tomorrow’, the students distributed seeds.
Representatives from the NGO engaged in an educational exercise with these students on the importance of growing and saving trees.
At the end of the event, the students were presented with certificates by Sundaram Finance.
