The launch of the video screen in front of the Navarathri mandapam at Sri Kapali Temple by the HR and CE minister meant the start of the first procession of this year’s Vasantha Utsavam was delayed by an hour on Wednesday.
It was past 9pm when lord Vinayaka on the Mooshika vahana left for the Mada Streets procession to launch this year’s utsavam.
The 10 day Vasantha utsavam for Sri Kapaleeswarar will start on Thursday evening.
