Mylapore MLA Dha Velu has taken the initiative to host a photography training workshop at a space near his office space on C P Ramaswamy Road, Alwarpet.
It is held on weekends and over two dozen students in senior school classes are attending this workshop. Four press photographers of daily newspapers are taking classes.
While theory classes are held indoors here, the group will be taken to open spaces like Nageswara Rao Park to undertake practical assignments.
The MLA says Dina Colour Lab in Abhiramapuram will provide a few cameras that the students can use in the field and then print the best pictures they shoot.
