MTC mini bus on route S17 launched. To cater mainly to students, interior colonies

The special MTC mini bus on route S17 was launched on Thursday morning at the MTC’s Mandaveli bus terminus. Mylapore MLA Dha Velu did the honours and he and some others joined passengers on a section of this ride.

The bus connects Mandaveli to Adyar and is restarted primarily to cater to school and college students who do not have a convenient public transport facility to schools in Bheemanapet, R A Puram and Kotturpuram and Gandhi Nagar.

The service will also be useful for people who have to access interior colonies in Alwarpet and R A Puram.

Since this is an Express service, women cannot travel free. Minimum ticket fare is Rs.7
