Residents from M. K. Amman Temple zone say power supply was ‘cut’ for few hours this morning

Residents in the zone of Sri Mundagakanni Amman Temple say that power supply was ‘switched off’ from 4.30 a.m. to about 6.30a.m. this Friday morning.

Said N. Mahadevan who resides in the 3rd Lane off Sri Mundagakanni Amman Koil Street, “ The power went off at 4.30 a.m. and came back only at 6.30 a.m.   Ironically, I saw an SMS from TANGEDCO stating that the power in our area will be cut between 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. and this message was sent to be at 5.15 a.m. today (03.06.22).  It would nice if TANGEDCO could do their repair work after 10 a.m., when our morning chores would be over.   Moreover, the power cut timings should be intimated to the consumers at least a day in advance, so that we could plan accordingly.”

A college professor who lives near the temple also confirmed the ‘power supply disruption early this morning.

Later, a resident of CIT Colony said that power had dropped and calls to the local fuse call office did not evoke any response.
