The ther procession of the annual vaikasi utsavam of Sri Velleeswarar Temple, Mylapore took place on Saturday morning.
Devotees joined the procession that was taken through the Mada Streets, taking turns to pull the chariot with the gods.
The next big event of this fest is Thiru Kalyanam that will take place between 8pm and 9.30pm on June 14.
From June 16 onwards, there are concerts in the evening at the temple premises.
