Today being Aadi Amavasyya, there was a big crowd of people at two ends of the tank of Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple in Mylapore as people shuffled and settled down to rituals that pray and remember the departed.
On the tank’s west side, though some people were allowed entry into the steps and mantap, the rest had to make do with the pavement space for the rituals.
