To mark the birthday of Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya Higher Secondary School, Mylapore the school organised the R K Swamy Memorial Table Tennis Tournament on July 16 in the school campus.
The competitions were held under two categories – under 17 & under 19 for boys and girls – singles and doubles. 32 prizes were distributed to winners under both the categories.
The chief guest of the finale was R. Sundar, a chartered accountant who was the champion in this sport during his school and college days.
School secretary V. S. Subramanian initiated this inter-school event and physical education director S. Prakash curated and ran this event – in a short span of time, says G. Pandian, principal.
