CIT Colony resident Gayathri Sankaranarayanan is an expert in kolams.
And she has to design one every morning, at her doorstep, as many people who love traditions do. But her kolams are themed and intricate ones.
This morning, Gayathri dedicated her kolam to the Chess Olympiad that Chennai is hosting at Mamallapuram from today.
She says it took her an hour to design this, based on a photo of a chess board.
Walkers in the colony who know of her creativity, shot pictures and shared across the community group.
Gayathri has not only researched on kolams but also employed them in unique projects, including linking them to classical music.
