Members of IWC Chennai Symphony have adopted 16 girl students from Rani Meyyammai School, Mandaveli as part of the group’s Women Empowerment Program.
This decision was taken by the club president, Smitha Reddy and was unanimously approved by all the members.
The members will be helping them with school fees every year till they finish school and they will be celebrating all the special days with these ‘adopted’ girls.
The group handed over the cheque to the principal of the school after the Independence Day celebrations at the campus.
