Post Office staff, students take out procession to popularise Indian tricolour

Over 50 staff of the Mylapore zone India Post staff along with students of San Thome High School and others took out a procession through the Mada Streets and Luz Circle to mark the first day of celebrating the Indian tricolour as part of the Har Ghar Tiranaga celebration.

Maharajan of Mylapore Post office said a few staff carried lanterns in their hands around Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple and then, two post women danced for a short while in front of the Mylapore Police Station on Kutchery Road.

This procession started and ended at the Mylapore Post Office. All staff were dressed in their best and carried the tricolour, some sported cotton topis too.
