Thousands of kozhukottais, sweet and spicy have been despatched from Mami Tiffen Stall, Mylapore since this morning.
These were orders placed in advance, some a few hundred, some thousands.
Besides the regular kitchen and service staff, women were called in contract to prepare and make these specials for Vinayaka Chathurthi festival this week.
With less and less people making kozhukottais at home, orders like those taken at Mami in Pitcheu Pillai Street, Mylapore are big.
Mami’s also offers medhu vada, sweet and ven pongal and sundal orders were also taken here.
