The football team of Rosary Matric Girls School, San Thome recently won the Chennai central zone schools football tourney.
12 teams participated and the team of St. Anthony’s Girls School, R. A. Puram was runners-up.
The games were played at the St. Bede’s playground.
The Rosary team is coached by Nirmal who also runs, with a local group, a football team and coaching academy in Pattinapakkam.
Rosary School’s PT teacher Y. Kala oversaw the coaching and welfare of the students at the tourney.
