CSI Saint Luke’s Church on R.K. Mutt Road in Mandaveli will be celebrating the feast of their patron saint, saint Luke, this weekend.
The event is being organised by the pastor of the church Rev G. Dhanasekaran and the pastorate committee comprising of secretary D. Moses Raja Cecil, treasurer Florence Devakirubai and committee members.
Secretary Moses Raja Cecil said that while the feast of saint Luke is on October 18 the communjty chose to celebrate it on October 22 and 23. On Saturday evening at 5 p.,m, confirmation service will be held. It will be presided over by Rt. Rev. Dr. J. George Stephen, Bishop in Madras, Church of South India.
On Sunday, regular service will be begin at 8.30 a m and later, there is a fancy dress competition for kids.
In recent weeks, many other competitions for the children of the parish were held. Prize distribution for all the competitions will be held on Sunday. The community has invited the local MLA Dha Velu as the chief guest.
The event will conclude with lunch that will be served to all church members.
