CSI Saint Thomas Tamil Church located in San Thome to commemorate its 164th anniversary

CSI Saint Thomas Tamil Church located on San Thome High Road is commemorating its 164th anniversary this weekend.

The pastor of the church Rev. D. Paul William said that this year, the milestone event, to be held this Sunday, is kept simple.

A special Mass will be celebrated at 7.30 am. on Sunday,  October 23. The message will be delivered by retired CSI Pastor Rev. E.W. Christopher.  Following the service, there will be a meeting of the Youth Fellowship and a special lunch will be served at 1 pm for all the church members.
The secretary of the Pastorate Committee is Jebaraj Koilpillai and the treasurer is Samuel Swamikkannu.
To mark the occasion of the 164th anniversary, the community plans to construct a church in a village named Kunathoor which is near Mahabalipuram.
Last month a prayer service and a medical camp was conducted at the village. Pastor Rev. Paul William said that construction will begin next month and will be completed in about six months.
