It has been raining, gently since this Wednesday morning but the rain did not discourage young parents from pursuing the Vidyarambham ritual so special to this day, that is Vijayadasami.
At Sri Ayyappa Temple in MRC Nagar in R. A. Puram, there was a steady stream of families who wanted the priests to guide them with the ritual.
The arrangement was simple and easy – a few couples and their kids, mostly two and three-year olds – sat in one row and went through the ritual, some children creating the light moments of a happy and momentous occasion.
