The venue of Karthikai Pandigai workshop for children held last weekend in R A Puram echoed with chants of Lord Muruga.
The curious young minds listened to stories of Lord Shiva and Lord Kartikeya, retold to them by host V. Deepa, in interesting ways.
A parent from R A Puram whose child took part said, “I am happy that my daughter has been singing her own song based on the story that was narrated.”
The little ones also engaged in fireless cooking by preparing yummy treats and explored creative art works.
“Listening to stories from our Puranas while doing activities in a group, opens up various avenues of interactive learning,” says Deepa V who has been running this initiative for the past four years.
All the props and materials for the art work were created and hand-made at home.
