Vocalist S. Sowmya was honoured at the launch of the December Season festival of Rasika Ranjani Sabha, Mylapore on December 1 evening.
Sowmya is currently the vice-chancellor of Dr J Jayalalithaa TN Music and Fine Arts University, based in Chennai.
The Sabha has not formally promoted a December Season festival; but this year, the month is packed with concerts and more.
