Our Lonely Planet is a Textile Art show which has been curated by Quilt India Foundation and is on in Alwarpet this weekend.
Highlights of the show –
1. On display – 32 Art Quilts from three countries – The Square Inch Challenge “Our Lonely Planet”
2. On display – 10 Lone Star Quilts made in two workshops by quilters from India. Lone Star quilts are being exhibited for the first time in India
On Jan. 22, Sunday : Demonstration of Kowdhi Quilting – a traditional quilting method from Uttara Kannada region – 11 am to 12 noon
Show timings : Jan. 20, 5 pm : Inaugural and announcement of awards. Sat – Monday, Jan. 21 – 23 : 11 am to 8 pm
Venue : Sri Sankara Hall, TTK Road. Open to all.
