Work on Chennai Metro rail line at the Mandaveli junction is moving at a fast pace now.
Two areas have been barricaded. One is just outside what used to be the local Post Office, off the MTC bus terminus.
The other is on the opposite side where a part of the petrol bunk has been carved out and barricading in on now.
There was talk that in course of time, the pavement based temple in this junction would also have to make way for the rail work but this move seems to have been off for now.
