The student community at Queen Mary’s College had the time of their life, taking part in the Pongal celebrations held on campus on Friday.
Given the free time to celebrate, the girls, all dressed for this occasion, drew large, colourful Rangolis, decorated the yard leading from the main gate and cooked pongal in the open.
Then, to popular folk music, the groups danced freely, roping in colleagues who stood on the fringe.
