Many youth groups in some colonies of Mylapore got up early on Saturday to hold Bhogi.
They had collected waste materials from their home and made bonfires and some danced to the beat of drums.
These scenes were seen in Pallakkumanyam Nagar and in some densely inhabited colonies. But in other areas, no such Bhogi meets were seen. However, a thin sheet of smog hung all around even in the light mist that prevailed.
