Ration card holders have begun to get their Pongal goodies given by the state government at ration shops.
Small queues have been getting longer as word went around on the weekend that the goodies had arrived.
The pack include one kilo of rice, a kilo of sugar, one sugarcane, one sari or veshti and one thousand rupees in cash.
