Senior women residing in Ramakrishna Nagar in R. A. Puram have been going around a few streets of the area singing bhajans for this margazhi season.
The group starts at about 5.30 a.m. from the local park and walks down the streets, singing verses.
Local community activist K. Balasubramaniam says that this is a small start and he hopes this will encourage others living in the area to join the group to sing every morning till Pongal day.
