The annual Maha Sivarathri celebrations will take place through the night on Saturday, Feb 18 at Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple.
There will be a grand, four kaalam abhisekam starting at 11.30pm on Saturday.
Ten days ahead of the event, even while the Theppotsavam was taking place, the authorities organised construction of the bamboo poles for the special queue lines that will take effect next Saturday.
The temple will be open through the evening and night from 4pm on Saturday.
State minister P Sekar Babu had told Mylapore Times last month that the night long devotional musical event for Maha Sivarathri at the erstwhile P. S. School ground will be even grander this year.
