Chennai Metro: small changes in carriageways created

Small changes have been made on the roads in south east zone of R. A. Puram in connection with the ongoing Chennai Metro work.

At the junction off MTC’s Mandaveli bus terminus, the portion secured from the petrol station has bene used to create a free left carriageway for vehicles on South Canal Road moving into R. K. Mutt Road. ( photo featured here)

At the far end of R K Mutt Road, alongside KVB Gardens, opposite the massive work campus of the Metro the pavement was halved and that portion is now part of the road to accommodate vehicles moving into Mylapore zone; this has been created because the Metro walls have been extended into what was R K Mutt Road.
