Dikshita Kshetra Darshanam (DKD), by Guruguhaamrta, is a project which aims to produce high-quality video documentaries combining the musical and related aspects of Kshetras (loosely translated as ‘temples’) that are also filmed at these Kshetras.
This project was conceived by classical music vocalist, G. Ravi Kiran, who is also the founder and managing trustee of Guruguhaamrta in collaboration with storyteller, scholar and heritage enthusiast, Madhusudhanan Kalaichelvan.
This project launched last year, in March and three episodes of this project have been released on a Youtube Channel (on Tirukkannamangai, Sri Vanchiam and Mannargudi Kshetras).
On March 24, which is believed to be the 248th birth anniversary of Dikshitar, according to the Gregorian calendar, the DKD team is releasing the 4th episode – on the Vaitheeswaran Koil Kshetram.
It is to be formally released at Arkay Centre, Luz. 6 pm onwards. N Murali, president, Music Academy is the guest at this event.
