Srinivasa Ladies Club celebrated its 52nd anniversary last month at Kalyana Nagar Association, Mandavelipakkam.
Multifaceted artiste Revathi Sankaran presided over the function.
Hemamalini Ramakrishnan, secretary of the club said that it was well-attended and an enjoyable one.
Srinivasa Ladies Club has 165 members as of now, their age ranging between 40 and 90, said Hemamalini.
Classes on Ramayanam, Bhagavatam, Devaram and Thirupughal are held every day at the club, though the primary focus is to help others, she added.
“Annadanam is done during the Arubathumoovar festival. On Women’s Day, we made a donation to P. S. High School. We extend help to the mentally retarded people also,” she said.
The members of this registered club meet once a month.
Looking ahead, Hemamalini said the Club will continue making donations towards education and marriages of the poor.

- There is no location constraint. Anyone can join the club (after March 2023).

- Must be a member for 2 or 3 years.
