Two long-serving teachers of Chennai Schools retire

Two long-serving teachers of Chennai School who had their final years of service at local Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) schools are retiring now.

They are P. Paulraj, headmaster of the Chennai High School on Sringeri Mutt Road, Mandaveli and Jaya Premalatha, headmistress of Chennai Higher Secondary School on Bheemana Street, Alwarpet.

Both teachers hosted informal parties in their campuses and also at a common place where senior teachers of GCC schools of Mylapore zone and gathered to felicitate and share warm memories.

Paulraj worked for GCC for 28 years, being HM at a Taramani school for18 years and short service at Alwarpet before serving out in Mandaveli.

Jaya’s service ran for 23 years; she served at the Alwarpet school for four years.
