The monthly ‘Mikeless Kutcheri in the Park’ held this Sunday morning, May 7, featured young vocalist Dhanyatha Venkatesan. In the stillness of a May morning, even as walkers went through their paces, this girl’s singing added to the atmosphere at Nageswara Rao Park in Luz.
She learns music from Dr. Gayathri Venkatesan.
Accompanying her were Sruthi Priya on the violin and Palani R. Madhavkrishna on mridangam.
These monthly concerts are held at Chess Square area of the park.
As is the tradition always, the three artistes were presented with certificates by senior executives of Sundaram Finance which has been curating and hosting this series on the first Sunday of a month for many years now.
