A crime history sheeter who called himself ‘Token’ Raja was murdered inside the Palakkumanyam Nagar in Mylapore on Sunday.
Raja, said to be a member of a notorious gang, is said to have had many crime cases against his name and was killed when he was talking to a few people inside this nagar, a thickly inhabited colony of the Slum Board, located off Luz Church Road.
Mylapore police rushed to the spot, took the slain man’s body and sent it for post mortem. A team has been formed to probe this crime.
Once a hot-bed of petty crimes and dark actions, this nagar has not seen gang battles or nasty crimes in recent years.
