Sewage leaks off St. Mary’s Road, flows into Jeth Nagar. Residents say leaks happen once a month

Residents of Jeth Nagar are complaining that the leaks from a mainline sewage carrying pipe on St. Mary’s Road is polluting the area.

The sewage was seen flowing into the colony from the main road and over time, it dried up.

Resident Vijayalakshmi says that this problem is repeating. She says that the leak has taken place at least on four days in the past four months.

She shared this photo showing the scene on Ammani Ammal Street; saying the sewage water flowed via Arunachalam Street this morning.

She said residents have complained to Metrowater.
