Look out for traffic movement changes and signs of preliminary civil work on the Mylapore – Mandaveli section of the proposed Chennai Metro rail line.
One of two plots are being using to set up work accessories on a section of R K Mutt Road ( beyond the Mandaveli Street junction).
Also, traffic signs have come up near the Mandaveli Post Office, which indicate traffic to Adyar may need to take the left turn at the junction and travel east and then south.
A section of the Mandaveli Street, on its north side was barricaded over 5 weeks ago.
Also, changes will also come up in the Luz Circle zone.

Is Change a necessity. Those born in 60s & 70s can only nostalgise about Luz corner, kapali temple, Mada streets etc five year’s from now.
Why can’t some places remain as they are. Can’t some places breathe without modernism! Every human at some point of life needs to touch base with their heritage. Wish our planners could understand that. Development is not always the panacea.
