December Season: Naada Inbam’s music fest is supported well by rasikas, well-wishers

One warm and cosy nook to listen to music during the December Season is the Raga Sudha Hall off Luz Avenue which enjoys the quiet and the green provided by Nageswara Rao Park.

The hall is now the venue for Naada Inbam’s annual music festival ( which also remembers the founder who was fondly called SVK – S V Krishnan); it had a formal start last week with vocalist K. Gayatri on stage, took a break to include the concerts of some local arts bodies and has resumed its festival series.

Curator K. Jayalakshmi of Naada Inbam has drawn up a festival that spills into January 2024, with a mix of  senior vidwans, popular artistes and some young talent too.

The concerts are open to all but Jayalakshmi encourages people to donate. And her appeals are respected.

“Thankfully, we always have well-wishers who either sponsor a concert or donate for the festival,” she says.

This is the kind of performance space that bonds the rasikas and the artistes; and breeds familiarity too.

Donations are exempted under Sec. 80G of I.T. Act. Cheques may be drawn in favour of “Naada Inbam Public Charitable Trust”
