A break in the examinations schedule enabled the management of Lady Sivaswami Ayyar Girls Hr Sec. School to host a special event on campus where the focus was on four teachers.
This Tuesday morning, December 18, it was time to wish the best to senior teacher Dr. V. Uma who will retire after 40 years of service and to acknowledge the long services of three other teachers – S. Jayanthi who has served for 25 years and K. Revathy and S. Usha who have put in 10 years of service.
The ceremony began with the ceremonial welcome to the four teachers by the school band that led them and their colleagues to the hall where a simple event was held.
Vatsala Narayanaswamy, member of the Society that manages this and two other schools, was present, despite her advanced years; she blessed the four teachers.
The school’s Headmistress and her staff were present.
