Dancing to the songs of Thyagaraja . . .

Kala Pradarshini, a dance academy, celebrated the silver jubilee celebrations of Natya Aradhana, a festival dedicated to saint Thyagaraja and his music- this event was held on Feb.23.

Dancers from select dance academies  performed to the compositions of Thyagaraja.

It has been 25 years of consistent  efforts by the festival curator, dancer and teacher, Parvathi Ravi Ghantasala that has ensured that the Natya Aradhana is performed every year.

This year’s Natya Aradhana was inaugurated by Dr. M. Saikumar, CMD, TNPL, Vijaya Thayanban (member secretary, TN Eyal Isai Nataka Mandram), guru Prof Sudharan Ragupathy and Harishankar, secretary, Narada Gana Sabha.

The students of dance teachers Paravthi Ravi Ghantasala, Roja Kannan, Divya Sena, Sheela Unnikrishnan and
Shivakumar & Sailaja performed – at Narada Gana Sabha.
