Archbishop opens refitted OPD at St. Isabel’s Hospital to mark its 75 years

The community of nuns, doctors, nursing students and staff made what was a low profile celebration of 75 years of St. Isabel’s Hospital into a warm event on March 19, Tuesday evening at its campus on Musiri Subramaniam Road.

A group of the nursing course students, in costumes, presented a medley of classical dance to the guest of the day – archbishop Rev. George Antonysamy of Madras-Mylapore diocese.

The guest, accompanies by some diocesan priests and the nuns who manage this hospital, then walked to the festooned door of the renovated Out Patient Departnent (OPD), said prayers and formally opened it. They went around the facility.

Then, the archbishop celebrated a special Holy Mass in the campus chapel and the evening ended with dinner.
