Three workers died when the roof of a bar located in Alwarpet zone on which they were working collapsed.
The Shekmet bar-club on Chamiers Road is where the accident took place Thursday evening.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
Meanwhile, Chennai Metro quickly out out a statement saying that their underground rail work had nothing to do with this development, saying that the rail work was over 200 ft away from the bar premises and that no vibrations had been recorded here when their work was on.
