Voting by seniors has begun in the Chennai South constituency for the Lok Sabha elections.
This morning, R V Rao, a retired senior company executive who resides off Sundararajan Street, Abiramapuram said he cast the ballot.
“A team visited my apartment and the process was smooth,” Rao said. ” They were very helpful”.
Rao said that officials had seen him in late March and helped him to enter deatils in Form 12D and submit it.
Poll officials are visiting seniors, who are eligible – 85 years and above – and submitted Form 12D previously.
Formal polling at the booths is on April 19.
My parents are 80 plus…I want them to cast thier vote…none came to my house …I need the concerned officers to do that asap…am at mylapore Kennedy st
To get this done, they shd have filled and submitted Form 12D. Only for 85 plus.
