Relaying of Royapettah High Road from the Ajantha flyover end to Thanni Thurai Market end is complete now.
Just a small section of the road near the GCC office opposite P S Sivaswamy Salai junction needs extra attention.
This relaying will help in times when traffic has been diverted due to Chennai Metro work and with heavy loads on some main roads and inner streets.
Meanwhile, work is closing on the section of Mandaveli Street which caved in this week.
This was caused by a sewage pipe of Metrowater. Workers are on the job of fixing this problem.
