One temple which got a record stream of people this weekend was the Sri Ayyappa Temple in MRC Nagar.
Families celebrating Visu, the Malayalam New Year and then, on Sunday, those celebrating Tamil New Year, walked into this temple since dawn to pray and also share wishes.
As is always, the temple was decorated with lots of flowers and fruits, though packing the fruits into plastic bags was an eyesore.
