This Ramnavami concert featured group of young artistes. At Raga Sudha hall.

Rasikas enjoyed a thematic kutcheri by young artistes on Ramnavami day at Naada Inbam’s Raga Sudha hall, Luz.

The soulful rendition of Lord Rama’s kritis by the disciples of vidwan R K Shriramkumar and his sishya, Amritha Murali made this a worthwhile concert.

Amritha thoughtfully curated the thematic kutcheri—Rama Rasamrtam concert that started off with couple of verses from Valmiki Ramayana on the birth of the deity.

This was followed by krithis depicting instances from the epic and praises of Rama. The compositions were by Annamacharya, Thyagaraja, Purandaradasa, Swati Tirunal, Arunachala Kavi and Muthuswami Dikshitar, Samarta Ramdas and Bhadrachala Ramadasa.

Thanking  K. Jayalakshmi of Naada Inbam for the opportunity, Amritha said, ”I felt blessed that Shriramkumar sir allowed me to include his students in the program and also train them alongside mine. It was a challenge to ensure that each of them had an equal opportunity to showcase their manodharma bit.”

The budding vocalists – Aathreyee Krishna, Nanditha Kanan, Niranjan Dinodi, Dhanush Anantharaman, Shakthi Muralidaran, Madhumitha Doraiswamy melodiously sang through this three hour long concert.

The recital was  supported by M. Shrikanth on violin, Kaushik Sridhar on mridangam and Shobana on tambura. Ramaswamy Narayanan, art connoisseur blessed the artistes with his words of appreciation at the end of the concert.
