Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has arranged drinking water booths on the sides of key roads in the neighbourhood in the face of the searing summer heat.
These booths, simple structures, house water cans.
Also, the GCC’s Public Heath Centres have a counter where packets of hydral powder that can be mixed in water ( provided in cans here) and partaken are kept, to keep people hydrated.
This is offered free.
One such facility is in the PHC off C P Ramswamy Road, Alwarpet.
