State governor chief guest at Maharashtra Day event held in Mylapore

The Maharashtra Association Chennai celebrated Chhatrapathi Shivaji jayanthi and Maharashtra Day on May 1  at Sanskrit College auditorium, Mylapore.
The governor of Tamil Nadu, R. N. Ravi was the chief guest and  Sivaji Rajah Bhosale, prince of Thanjavur Maratha royalty was the guest of honour.
Abaji Rajah Bhosale was also present during the function. Dr. R. Vasudevan, former director of DRDO was honoured with the ‘Great Maratha’ award.
Four children were awarded ‘Young Maratha’ awards for their outstanding performances in education, sports and arts, said a note shared by Dr. S. Devaji Rao, hony. secretary, The Maharashtra Association, Chennai.
