The R. K. Mutt Road section alongside the tank of Sri Kapali Temple is the venue for a big public meeting the DMK is organising this Sunday morning ( March 2) to mark the birthday of M. K. Stalin, the DMK party leader and state chief minister.
This will be a ‘no go’ zone all through Sunday and traffic movement on all three Mada Streets will be affected severely; it is advisable to keep off these streets post 5 p.m. Sunday
Dozens of people worked through late Saturday evening to set up the stage for the meeting and erect lighting and illumination all over the venue.
Traffic was also curtailed by police, with only bikes allowed into this R K Mutt Road section to access North Mada Street.
Over 50 flex banners of big proportions have been erected at the venue.
Deputy chief minister Udhayanidhi Stalin is billed as the main guest at this meeting.
