Gurushankar presents his salangai pooja. He is a neuro-divergent achiever with Downs Syndrome

Gurushankar is a neuro-divergent achiever with Downs Syndrome.  He has been learning Bharatanatyam for the last 15 years under Dr Ambika Kameshwar.
He presented his dance  salangai pooja on  April 27  at the Iyal Isai Nadaga Mandram stage located off Greenways Road in R. A. Puram.
He is a special trainee at RASA (Ramana Sunritya Aalaya) and he works in its livelihood division making handcrafted products .
He is also a very talented drama artiste.
He prepared for his salangai poojai with the guidance of Ambika Kameshwar and her senior disciples Dr Vaishnavi Poorna and Thejas Meghala,
Guru and dancer Chitra Visveswaran and Dr Sarada Natarajan and Babli Ramachandran, a Down’s syndrome self-advocate and Bharatanatyam dancer – graced the occasion as special guests.
