Alumni batches of past years networked and landed up in San Thome on Saturday ( July 26) to take part inat Alumera, the carnival organised by the alumni of Rosary Matric Hr. Secondary School.
And as they wound up later that evening, all on a high, many had very nice words for the event and the organisers.
Well organised. Interesting sales. Grand fashion show. Well-planned – these were the bouquets shared last weekend, in person, with friends and family and on social media.

There were a few highlights of the carnival. The felicitation of eminent alumni and leaders of the school management was one. The other was hosting 60 retired teachers and three past principals – which allowed the alumni to interact and take photographs.
The daytime events were conducted in the quadrangle, a familiar space for all Rosarians – a place where all key events of the year are held. Past and present students participated in them freely.
Alumni batches took group photographs for keepsake and for their album. Some posed on the main stairs; others sat in classrooms that were their favourites and others found spaces under trees and in walkways which were part of their school life.

The valedictory event – a dance medley by Mahalaxmi and her dancers – seemed to have wowed the guests.
As did the fashion show.
Members of the batch of 1977 did a flash mob in the evening – their enthusiasm was infectious. A party mood was setting in but the curtains had to be drawn by 7.30 p.m
