Birth centenary of M. B. Srinivasan, who led Indian choral music tradition. Event on Sept.20

The Madras MBS Choir will celebrate the birth centenary of its founder, M. B. Srinivasan with a show on Sept.20 at Dakshinamurthy Auditorium, P. S. School campus, Mylapore. The event starts at 5.45 p.m. and has famed artistes V. S. Narasimhan and Rajkumar Bharathi as special guests.

Four choirs will perform; this includes the Madras MBS Choir and the Junior Madras MBS Choir.

M. B. Srinivasan was not only a well-known film music director but also a leader in the Indian choral music tradition.

The Choir is looking for new voices of the city to join the group.
