Maitri Trust celebrates 15 years of community service. Supports projects in basic literacy and life skills

Maitri Trust marked 15 years of social service with its Annual Day event held on October 4 at the Kalyana Nagar Association hall, Mandavelipakkam.

The event, compered by  Porvika, began with a lamp-lighting ceremony by Radha Seetharaman, Latha Prasad, and other guests.

Trustee Rajagopalan Venkatraman welcomed the gathering. Kalyanaraman presented mementos to chief guest S. Seetharaman, chairman of Super Auto Forge, and other guests –  S. Ravi and Venkatesh Kumaraswamy from Sundaram Finance Holdings.

Founder trustee Jayanthi Ramesh outlined Maitri’s journey and impact across its three core programmes – Pre-primary education support, basic literacy, and life skills training.

Refurbished laptops donated by IT companies were handed over to deserving college students.

Long-serving Maitri members Manimegalai, Devi, and  Bhanu were felicitated for their dedicated service. The event concluded with a fellowship session over tea.
